Embroidered Slub Cotton Dress

This luxurious dress expresses the Suzani embroidery motif from Tashkent Uzbekistan. Suzani is derived from the Persian word for needle. The main motifs are the traditional rosette pattern, the sun and the moon, and the embroidery is richly decorated with flower and leaf motifs that have the meaning of fertility. The fabric is made of thin slub cotton with an appropriate taut texture.
