Embroidered Slub Cotton Skirt

This luxurious skirt expresses the Suzani embroidery motif from Tashkent, Uzbekistan. Suzani is derived from the Persian word for needle. The main motifs are the traditional rosette pattern of the sun and the moon, and the embroidery is richly decorated with flower and leaf motifs, which have the meaning of fertility. The fabric is made of light slub cotton with an appropriate taut texture.
